Senior Python Engineer

WeAreBrain is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to build intelligent, secure, and scalable solutions involving microservices and agentic AI workflows. The role requires regular travel to the Netherlands for client collaboration and in-person consulting sessions at the Amsterdam office.

• Develop, test, and maintain Python microservices and agentic AI workflows
• Implement document intelligence features including OCR, NLP, and LLM integration
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and legal teams to deliver seamless solutions
• Write clean, readable, and well-documented code using type hints and Pydantic models
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
• Ensure system stability, security, and compliance with AVG/GDPR standards
• Research and prototype new technologies such as LLMs, OCR, and cloud-native patterns
• Support CI/CD, testing, and deployment automation

• 5+ years of professional Python experience, ideally with microservices or AI/NLP projects
• Experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions
• Understanding of REST APIs, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and security best practices
• Experience with frontend integration (React, Keycloak) and Microsoft 365 APIs preferred
• Good communication and collaboration skills; fluent English (C1)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Pytest
