Basketball Expert - Fully Remote | Upto $70/hr Hourly

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. The Basketball Expert will evaluate AI-generated basketball play-by-play and post-game analysis to improve accuracy, insight, and realism. This is a fully remote contract role focused on scoring and providing feedback on AI sports coverage.

• Evaluate basketball games and review AI-generated play-by-play commentary and post-game analysis.
• Score the accuracy, insight, and entertainment value of AI sports coverage.
• Assess the AI’s understanding of player performance, game flow, and strategic decisions.
• Detect factual mistakes, weak interpretations, and stylistic inconsistencies in AI outputs.
• Provide clear written feedback on strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with analysts and developers to enhance basketball-specific AI reasoning and realism.

• Deep basketball expertise gained through playing, coaching, commentating, or passionate fandom.
• Strong analytical thinking to evaluate strategies, narratives, and statistical insights.
• Strong written English communication with ability to articulate nuanced basketball insights.
• Comfort using online evaluation tools and dashboards.
