Summary
Luxoft is seeking a Junior Test Automation Engineer to join their QA team supporting a prominent American multinational automaker. This role involves designing and executing automated test scenarios for automotive systems in a multicultural, Scrum-based environment with a focus on Python-based automation and embedded systems testing.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and execute robust automated test scenarios utilizing Python as the primary scripting language
- Contribute to developing new and maintaining existing automation frameworks
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by writing detailed test scenarios
- Engage in specialized testing of automotive systems, including validation of in-vehicle components and multi-ECU scenarios
- Analyze logs and quickly resolve issues within automated testing pipelines
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners within the Scrum framework, actively participating in sprint planning and daily stand-ups
Requirements
Mandatory Skills:
- Prior work or experience with embedded or automotive systems, especially multi-ECU scenarios
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Python code for automated testing
- Ability to analyze logs and resolve issues within automated testing pipelines
- Knowledge of managing Python virtual environments and dependencies
- Git for version control and JFrog Artifactory for artifact management
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation in English
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with developers and testers
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with test automation for automotive multimedia, connectivity, and driver-assistance features
- Hands-on expertise with modern test automation frameworks supporting BDD and keyword-driven testing
- Ability to translate Gherkin scenarios into executable automation logic
- Experience analyzing and optimizing Python test scripts
- Hands-on experience with ADAS features such as Camera, Parking Assist, and Driving Assistance modules
- Exposure to automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
