Summary
Accordion is a high-growth financial consulting firm rooted in data, technology, and AI, partnering with private equity sponsors and CFOs to drive value creation. The Graphic Designer (Multimedia) will lead design within the marketing organization, elevating the firm’s visual presence across digital, motion, print, experiential, and presentation channels. The role owns projects end-to-end to ensure a polished, premium, and consistent brand expression across all touchpoints.
What you'll do
- Apply and uphold brand standards across marketing and firm materials, ensuring consistency in typography, color, layout, motion, and visual hierarchy.
- Evolve and refine brand guidelines and scalable design systems; manage asset organization standards (naming, versioning, templates, libraries, shared brand assets).
- Design marketing assets across formats including website/digital assets, social media creative, business development and pitch materials, thought leadership layouts/white papers, event and promotional materials.
- Create and refine PowerPoint templates and presentation materials with strong visual storytelling.
- Support website visuals, landing pages, and digital components in partnership with Marketing and Technology teams.
- Prepare files for digital publishing and print production; balance speed, quality, and strategic clarity.
- Create motion graphics, animated infographics, and GIFs for digital and social channels.
- Shoot and edit short-form video content; perform light post-production (editing, color correction, formatting) and ensure alignment with brand standards.
- Shoot professional headshots and coordinate production needs with photographers (shot lists, schedules, coordination).
- Own creative work from concept through delivery (ideation, design, revision, production) and present concepts while incorporating feedback.
- Create internal enablement materials (instructions, how-to decks, reusable templates) to improve consistency and speed.
- Work with vendors for production and printing; manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in graphic design, visual design, or a related creative role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating range across brand, digital, motion, video, and presentation work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Experience with motion tools (After Effects or similar) and video editing software (Premiere Pro or similar).
- Strong PowerPoint design capability.
- Familiarity with Figma, Canva, or other digital design tools (preferred).
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to enhance creative workflows, efficiency, or output quality.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual systems.
- Disciplined file management and version control practices; highly organized.
- Ability to own projects end-to-end with minimal oversight while collaborating effectively.
- Knowledge of private equity sponsors and portfolio company dynamics, particularly within the office of the CFO.
Conditions
Location: Must be based in the NYC office.
Work arrangement: Hybrid, with flexibility to work remotely 2 days per week.
Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 USD annual base salary + benefits + bonus.
Work authorization: Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
