Chief Operating Officer

Nashville Public Radio is hiring a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to build and lead the operational, financial, and organizational systems supporting its next phase of growth. Reporting to CEO Holly Kernan, the COO will translate organizational ambition into disciplined planning, measurement, and results across a complex multi-platform public media organization.

• Build and lead operational, financial, and organizational systems to support organizational growth
• Partner with the CEO as a strategic thought partner and execution leader
• Drive disciplined planning, measurement, and results across the organization
• Oversee finance, human resources, operations, technology, engineering, compliance, and data-informed decision-making
• Support cross-platform organizational performance through strong management practices and transparency

• Senior leadership experience as a strategic, data-driven operator
• Experience in media and/or music-adjacent businesses
• Strong management practices with the ability to pair creativity with operational rigor
• Commitment to public service and transparent leadership
• Ability to lead across finance, HR, operations, technology/engineering, compliance, and data-informed decision-making
