Assistant Designer & Production Coordinator
Summary
Descendant of Thieves is hiring an Assistant Designer & Production Coordinator to support the Creative Director across apparel design and creative initiatives. The role ensures accurate execution of designs through technical documentation and clear communication with overseas factories in a small team environment.
What you'll do
Create apparel CADs and organize them into technical packs.
Design garment prints under the Creative Director’s direction, including production-ready repeat patterns.
Measure and document garment specifications to maintain consistency in design execution.
Maintain frequent communication with overseas factories to ensure adherence to specifications and timely delivery.
Complete graphic design tasks for apparel, lookbooks, website, and social media.
Assist in scheduling and posting social media content.
Coordinate model castings, organize fashion shoots, and assist in styling.
Retouch and prepare images in Photoshop for the website and lookbooks, with occasional photo capture.
Support the creative development and execution of weekly email campaigns.
Requirements
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
Familiarity with Excel for style data input, sample tracking, and garment specification organization.
Understanding of garment fit and technical specifications.
Proficiency in image editing and retouching in Photoshop for website and marketing content.
Ability to provide references from previous and/or current supervisors and colleagues prior to the interview.
Conditions
Part-time: 32 hours per week.
Pay: $28 per hour.
