Azure Data Engineer (ETL Developer)

Kyivstar, Ukraine's largest mobile operator, is seeking an Azure Data Engineer (ETL Developer) to design and build large-scale data solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with petabytes of data and billions of events daily, contributing to big data and AI products that impact millions of customers.

• Develop ETL flows using Azure Cloud stack technologies including Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, HD Insights, SQL DW, stream analytics, and machine learning
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance for data processing flows and data models
• Design and build database solutions including tables, stored procedures, forms, and queries
• Build and maintain reporting solutions, data models, and dashboards
• Contribute to designing and tuning BI solutions based on data structure and data models

• 3+ years of technical expertise in Database development with SQL and Azure SQL
• Strong knowledge of data structures and data models for BI solution design
• Advanced data analytics experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, HD Insights, SQL DW, stream analytics, and machine learning
• Experience with Hadoop stack, RDBMS, NoSQL, and Kafka
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, and/or Python
• Knowledge of Git or Bitbucket version control systems
• BI Tools experience with PowerBI
• Background in test-driven development, automated testing, and software engineering best practices
• Understanding of Docker/Kubernetes paradigm
• Strong intermediate English proficiency
• Microsoft Certification (preferred)
