Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Shelter Investment Group is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee day-to-day operations and drive execution of corporate strategy across the organization. The role partners closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to ensure operational excellence, scalability, and sustainable business performance.

• Lead and manage the company’s global or enterprise-wide operations.
• Translate corporate strategy into operational plans, priorities, and performance metrics.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee key business functions such as operations, supply chain, manufacturing, service delivery, and/or business units.
• Ensure effective governance, risk management, and compliance across operations.
• Partner with the CEO and executive team on strategic planning and execution.
• Monitor operational performance, KPIs, and financial results; take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead large-scale transformation, integration, and change management initiatives.
• Build, develop, and retain high-performing leadership and management teams.
• Represent the company externally with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• 20+ years of senior management experience with broad operational responsibility.
• Proven track record in scaling operations and driving execution in complex organizations.
• Strong financial, operational, and analytical acumen.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Preferred: experience in an industry-specific field (e.g., manufacturing, energy, technology, logistics, services).
• Preferred: experience in multinational or multi-business-unit organizations.
• Preferred: experience leading operational transformation or post-merger integration.
• Execution-focused and results-driven leadership style.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
