Plant Director
Summary
PIP Global Safety is seeking a Multi-Site/Plant Director to lead and optimize operations across two electrical safety manufacturing sites (Clover and Freeport). The role oversees safety, production, quality, cost, and continuous improvement to meet customer and internal stakeholder demands while driving performance across the network.
What you'll do
Provide strategic and tactical operational leadership for two manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations.
Champion lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
Build and enforce a culture of safety excellence through protocols, audits, hazard reduction, and employee engagement.
Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Product Management to ensure on-time delivery and product quality.
Develop and execute operational strategies for manufacturing performance, cost control, and scalability.
Manage and mentor a team of ten direct reports, fostering accountability, safety, and collaboration.
Oversee operational budgets and work with finance to identify and drive cost efficiencies across the network.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience (protective equipment industry preferred).
Demonstrated experience managing multi-site operations with focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience in highly regulated or compliance-driven industries (e.g., automotive or food processing).
Hands-on leadership style with ability to engage all levels of the organization.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
