Administrative Chief of Staff for CHRO
Summary
Hanger, Inc. is a leading provider of orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) services and products with a nationwide patient care footprint. The Administrative Chief of Staff to the CHRO partners closely with the CHRO to orchestrate priorities, operating rhythm, and cross-functional coordination. The role exists to create leverage for the CHRO through world-class executive administrative support and rigorous follow-through on HR leadership decisions.
What you'll do
- Own the CHRO’s complex calendar, inbox triage, travel, itineraries, briefing packets, and day-of execution.
- Prepare meeting materials, talking points, and pre-reads; ensure the CHRO is fully briefed on priorities and risks.
- Manage confidential information with absolute discretion; serve as gatekeeper and proxy as appropriate.
- Draft, edit, and format executive communications (emails, memos, decks) and strategic messages for the CHRO.
- Plan and run HR leadership team meetings, offsites, and Town Halls, including agenda design, facilitation support, notes, decisions, and action tracking.
- Track OKRs/initiatives; ensure owners deliver updates; escalate risks and propose solutions.
- Maintain the HR calendar of business rhythms (QBRs, talent reviews, workforce planning, budget checkpoints).
- Maintain governance structures, decision logs, documentation, and systematic follow-up.
- Build relationships across the enterprise to ensure alignment and support change initiatives.
- Cultivate and leverage a network of industry, policy, and strategic partners.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance processes, and implement tools to increase HR effectiveness.
- Oversee budget tracking and financial stewardship for HR priorities.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, IT, Communications, and People Ops to ensure seamless execution of HR priorities.
- Ensure completion and follow-through on commitments tied to HR operations and CHRO priorities.
Requirements
Minimum (Option 1): Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; 5+ years as an Executive Assistant supporting C-suite executives, including 2+ years directly supporting a CHRO.
Minimum (Option 2): Associate degree or relevant professional certifications; 8–10 years as an Executive Assistant supporting C-suite executives, including 5+ years directly supporting a CEO or equivalent.
Preferred: Experience supporting a CHRO/HR function and exposure to HR rhythms (talent reviews, workforce planning, engagement surveys).
Mastery of calendar and inbox management, executive travel, and meeting orchestration.
Demonstrated experience running executive meeting cadences (agenda design, pre-reads, action tracking).
Exceptional written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail and formatting.
High discretion and judgment handling confidential and sensitive topics.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and task tools (Planner, Asana, Smartsheet).
