AI Engineer

Atlas Technica is an IT management and cybersecurity firm founded in 2016 that serves hedge funds and investment firms. We are seeking an AI Engineer to design, deploy, and operate intelligent chatbots and multi-agent AI systems using modern LLM frameworks and Azure cloud services. This role focuses on building enterprise-grade AI solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing business systems while maintaining security and compliance standards.

AI Agent & Chatbot Development:

• Design, build, and deploy intelligent conversational agents using Foundry Workflows, Microsoft Agent Framework, and OpenAI
• Develop prompt strategies and manage datasets for context-aware, multi-turn dialogue
• Conduct rapid prototyping to validate technical feasibility and business value
• Design agentic loops with task decomposition and workflow enforcement
• Implement structured error responses and graceful degradation with timeout handling and retry logic

Data & Model Engineering:

• Build and maintain data ingestion and indexing pipelines for Azure AI Search and Cosmos DB
• Evaluate and optimize AI system performance for accuracy, scalability, latency, and cost-efficiency

System Integration & Architecture:

• Architect and implement integrations between AI and enterprise systems using RESTful APIs
• Implement and maintain MCP servers for secure tool integration
• Deploy containerized services to Azure using CI/CD pipelines

Security, Compliance & Governance:

• Ensure AI systems comply with GDPR and enterprise security standards
• Implement access controls, data encryption, and audit logging

Research, Collaboration & Operations:

• Stay current with LLM advancements and evaluate emerging tools
• Work with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers
• Own incident resolution and maintain technical documentation

Required:

• English proficiency level B2 or higher
• 5+ years of AI engineering experience and .NET software development (.NET 10, ASP.NET Core/WebAPI, C#)
• Frontend experience with React 19, Next.js 15, or TypeScript
• Experience building intelligent chatbots and autonomous agents with multi-agent orchestration
• Strong expertise in embeddings, search, and prompt engineering
• Deep understanding of large language models and their capabilities and limitations
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI services (Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search)
• Hands-on experience with MCP or similar protocols for AI-enterprise system integration
• Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration patterns and prompt design methodologies
• Awareness of AI-specific security concerns including PII handling and prompt injection prevention
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable code following SOLID principles and Clean Architecture

Desirable:

• Understanding of AI solution architecture patterns and evaluation layers
• Experience testing AI-enabled components and handling non-deterministic outputs
• Knowledge of retrieval systems and ranking algorithms
• AI/ML versioning and experiment reproducibility practices
• Experience deploying and monitoring ML models in production
• Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Container Apps, and Docker containerization experience
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Azure AI-102 certification
• Application Insights telemetry and distributed tracing experience
• Prior experience integrating AI agents with enterprise platforms like ConnectWise PSA or Confluence
