What you'll do
- Support procurement for designated functions in alignment with local demand, budgets, and policies.
- Follow ordering policies defined by materials management for each commodity.
- Review and evaluate planned daily MRP orders and take appropriate action.
- Prepare and enter purchase orders in the materials business system; obtain supplier acknowledgement and monitor open PO reports to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain and change purchase orders as needed (e.g., cancel, postpone).
- Expedite materials to ensure continuous material availability.
- Manage replenishment of Kanban and/or supplier-consigned inventory for designated parts.
- Process non-conforming material reports for defective material to drive resolution, containment, and timely replacement.
- Act as liaison between suppliers and Finance regarding invoices, payment terms, and payment methods.
- Maintain procurement data quality in AX (e.g., pricing, lead time, MOQ, approved vendors, material category).
- Monitor and respond to special requests from CRM/CST in a timely manner.
- Partner with Logistics to ensure supplier compliance with freight/shipping procedures, help resolve freight claims/issues, and use cost-effective shipping methods.
- Participate in lean/six sigma improvement activities within and outside the materials team.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Experience: 1–3 years of supply chain experience (manufacturing environment preferred); entry-level candidates considered.
- Strong interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication; ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in an ISO 9000/14001 environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills; ability to work with minimal direction.
- Ability to prioritize and function well in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Conditions
Work model: Hybrid (on-site and remote each week per an agreed schedule with manager).
Compensation: Targeted pay range $58,000–$62,000 annually (DOE); may include additional incentive compensation depending on level/function.
