New Grad Software Engineer

Authentic is a Series A insurtech company building a technology platform and operational support layer that helps insurance brokers create custom insurance programs. As a New Grad Software Engineer, you will build and ship product features across a React frontend and a Python/FastAPI backend to solve real customer problems and improve internal efficiency.

• Build and ship features across the React frontend and Python/FastAPI backend.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to solve customer problems.
• Contribute to internal tools that improve team efficiency.
• Work with data systems that support risk assessment and claims decisions.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and team rituals.

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field (recently graduated or graduating by Summer 2025).
• Experience building web applications through personal projects, coursework, or internships.
• Comfort working across the stack with curiosity about both frontend and backend development.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Ability to work on-site in the New York office.

Nice to have:

• Experience with React, Python, FastAPI, and/or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP.
• Interest in fintech, insurtech, or regulated industries.
• Prior internship experience in fast-paced environments.
