Interior Designer

CCY Architects is a full-service integrated design studio headquartered in Basalt, Colorado. The Interior Designer will collaborate with the Interiors Studio and architectural project teams to support project milestones through all phases of design, development, and documentation. The role balances creative design vision with technical precision to deliver inspiring and technically sound interior solutions.

• Develop conceptual interior design ideas that enhance and align with architectural concepts and a cohesive aesthetic vision.
• Create material palettes, finish schedules, and presentation materials to communicate design intent.
• Select and specify finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) in alignment with project goals, design vision, and technical requirements.
• Produce technical and construction documentation for interiors across all project phases, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with building standards.
• Research materials, products, and finishes to support innovative and feasible design solutions.
• Contribute to technical specifications and manuals that support quality control during construction and installation.
• Maintain and expand the studio materials/finish library to foster innovation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Interiors Studio Director, Project Managers, and core project teams to integrate artistic and technical interior design aspects.

• Professional degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture from an accredited institution; CIDA-accredited degree required.
• 4–7 years of professional experience at an architecture or interior design firm.
• Strong technical skills with understanding of construction documentation and detailing.
• Knowledge of FF&E, finishes, and material applications.
• Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Creative curiosity and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Sound judgment regarding design trends, construction methods, and material appropriateness.

• Location & schedule: On-site role in Basalt, Colorado; no remote positions. Team members may work from home one day per week and are expected to be in the office during regular business hours the other four days.

• Salary range: $80,000–$105,000 per year.
