Automation QA Engineer (Python)

Volpis is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with Python expertise to develop and maintain automated tests for mobile and web applications. The role focuses on creating comprehensive test plans, automating test cases, and ensuring software quality through both manual and automated testing approaches.

• Create detailed test plans and well-structured test cases
• Automate test cases and user flows using Python and pytest
• Maintain and update automated test cases and user flows
• Report bugs found during testing in Jira
• Perform retesting of fixes and validate resolutions
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Test RESTful APIs using tools like Postman and Insomnia

• 3+ years of experience in manual testing of mobile applications (iOS, Android)
• 2+ years of experience writing and maintaining automated tests
• Strong knowledge of Python and ability to write clean, maintainable code
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
• Hands-on experience with pytest automation frameworks
• Experience with Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Solid experience testing RESTful APIs with Postman, Insomnia, or Swagger
• Experience with API authorization methods (Bearer Tokens, API Keys)
• Understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, and request/response formats (JSON, XML)
• Experience with test case management systems (e.g., TestRail)
• Proficiency in Jira for test case and defect tracking
• Strong communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate level minimum)
• Plus: UI Automation, Docker knowledge, Selenium or Playwright experience
