Group Manager, Imunify360 CloudAV (remote-only, Europe)

CloudLinux is seeking a Group Manager for Imunify360 CloudAV to lead multiple teams in building and maintaining a cloud-based antivirus platform. The role combines product strategy, technical architecture, and people management across a distributed organization focused on malware detection and threat intelligence.

• Product & Strategy: Introduce and improve key metrics for antivirus products, define and prioritize product roadmap across three teams, drive initiatives to achieve key metrics, collaborate on VIP customer requirements, and integrate AI tools into malware detection lifecycle
• Technical Leadership & Architecture: Own end-to-end malware detection pipeline, drive architectural decisions for distributed data processing, oversee modernization initiatives, design performance optimizations for cloud processing (10M+ daily samples), and manage infrastructure capacity planning
• People Management: Lead 3 teams across multiple time zones, hire and mentor engineers and team leaders, coordinate cross-team dependencies with Server Team, Web Protection Team, QA, Infrastructure, and Support
• Operational Excellence: Ensure signature release quality, monitor and improve detection rates and false positive rates, respond to production incidents, and manage vendor integrations

Must have:

• Past experience leading security products, labs, or research initiatives
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years leading multiple teams
• Deep expertise in malware analysis and antivirus technologies: static/dynamic analysis, signature-based detection, heuristic engines, file classification

Nice to have:

• Strong background in distributed systems and data engineering with Airflow, Luigi, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
• Infrastructure at scale experience: compute clusters, Ceph, S3, ClickHouse, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis
• CI/CD pipeline expertise: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker
• Monitoring and observability: Grafana, Sentry, log aggregation
• Web hosting security domain experience (cPanel, Plesk, shared hosting)
• Machine learning for malware detection including transformers and LLMs
• GCP experience (Secret Manager, Cloud Storage)
• PHP internals and dynamic analysis knowledge
• Track record building cloud antivirus or threat intelligence platforms
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams
