Summary

The Mortgage (Home Loan) Processor works with applicants and internal/external partners to ensure loan applications are complete, accurate, and packaged for timely underwriting and closing.
What you'll do
Provide excellent customer service and support an exceptional borrower experience through multiple communication channels.
Process, manage, and serve as primary contact for a pipeline of refinance and purchase loans to meet closing deadlines and rate lock expiration timelines.
Maintain and progress a pipeline of Conventional, FHA, and VA loans.
Communicate effectively and timely with external parties (clients, third parties, vendors) and internal teams (loan officers, underwriters, closers).
Keep up with and adapt to changing mortgage guidelines.
Set and manage borrower expectations, acting as main point of contact until closing.
Request, gather, and analyze documentation from borrowers, internal partners, and third parties required for underwriting approval.
Provide interdepartmental support and adapt to change as needed.
Strive to exceed productivity expectations and standards.
Coordinate expectations and communication with realtors and other referral sources.
Understand and request typical mortgage documentation (e.g., tax transcripts, paystubs, tax returns, income calculations).
Stay highly organized and proactive to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
2 years of mortgage processing industry experience (preferred).
Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, and FHA guidelines.
Ability to maintain a mixed pipeline of approximately 30–40 loans.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well under time constraints and in a constantly changing environment.
Team mentality and ability to work effectively as part of a group.
Client-first mindset with eagerness to delight clients throughout the process.
Knowledge of Encompass LOS.
Experience with Day One Certainty Validations, HomeReady, and HomePath products.
