Principal Solutions Architect Executive Technical Interface

Nucleus is hiring a Principal Solutions Architect to serve as the executive-facing technical interface for high-stakes programs. You'll be the trusted technical counterpart to client CTOs, translating complex engineering reality into clear decisions and predictable delivery. This role combines technical expertise with executive presence to align distributed teams and maintain stakeholder confidence.

• Act as primary technical partner to senior client leadership (CTO/VP Eng), conducting weekly 1:1s and key technical meetings
• Transform ambiguity into decision-ready artifacts including weekly status reports, risk registers, decision logs, and roadmap milestones
• Translate deep technical work into executive language focusing on tradeoffs, priorities, timelines, and risk containment
• Improve release and demo readiness through lightweight governance including acceptance criteria, readiness checks, and rollback plans
• Coordinate across distributed teams and multi-vendor environments with an evidence-based, unbiased approach
• Establish stakeholder trust and decision discipline through consistent communication and documentation

• 10+ years in engineering, architecture, or solutions roles with CTO/VP-level client-facing experience
• Strong cloud and platform fundamentals, particularly Azure and cloud services
• Expertise in data pipelines and architectural design
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills able to produce clear executive updates
• Calm under pressure with structured thinking and low-ego leadership approach
• Evidence-based decision-making mindset
• Nice to have: Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, life sciences, security-focused SaaS), MLOps concepts, track record in stabilization and rescue engagements

This is an executive-level technical role requiring ongoing stakeholder management and coordination across distributed teams. Success measured over 30-90 days with focus on establishing trust, creating predictable delivery processes, and reducing technical debt.
