Summary
Netflix is seeking a Content Security Intern for Summer 2026 within Content Risk Management to help protect content across the pitch-to-play lifecycle. The role supports day-to-day operations and provides training, development, and cross-functional exposure to how Netflix secures content physically and digitally. The internship is designed to prepare candidates for future entry-level opportunities in Content Security.
What you'll do
- Support the Content Security team in day-to-day operations and gain hands-on experience in content protection.
- Learn and become proficient in Netflix tools while immersing in Netflix culture and workflows.
- Observe and assist collaboration with Production, Talent, and Event Security, including potential visits to productions and participation in event security operations.
- Build relationships with cross-functional partners across internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Attend lectures hosted by industry professionals to deepen understanding of the field.
- Contribute to departmental special events and projects.
- Provide logistical support, including office runs when needed.
- Develop understanding of how PR/Marketing campaigns align with Content Security goals and how risk assessment can influence communications strategies.
- Learn how securing content supports talent relations and business success.
- Travel regionally within the U.S. to Netflix events and support on-site operations.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with authorization to work in the USA.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May/June 2027.
- Strong interest in content security, especially at the intersection of modern cybersecurity and film/television production.
- Basic understanding of computers and familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and contribute ideas.
- Motivated, proactive, able to work independently and take initiative.
- Detail-oriented with sound judgment; eager to learn and grow.
- Curiosity about technology and production workflows.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Valid driver’s license and access to personal transportation strongly suggested.
- No prior experience required to apply.
Conditions
- Paid summer internship with a minimum duration of 12 weeks.
- Fixed start dates in June to accommodate school calendars.
- Intended location (conditions permitting): Los Angeles, CA office; candidate must be open to residing in the Los Angeles area for the internship.
- Relocation and housing support may be provided if applicable.
- Compensation market range: $20/hour to $40/hour (varies by team, degree, education level, and location).
