Summary
Crossing Hurdles is hiring a remote Criminal Investigator (Detectives and Criminal Investigators) on an hourly contract basis. The role supports development of AI training datasets and AI-powered investigative tools by contributing real-world investigative expertise. You will analyze scenarios, evidence, and procedures to improve the realism and quality of AI outputs.
What you'll do
- Review crime scenarios and investigative procedures to help develop AI training datasets.
- Analyze case files, evidence, and investigative methods to provide real-world insights for AI model development.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and subject matter experts to improve AI-powered investigative tools.
- Document investigative processes clearly for use in AI training and knowledge resources.
- Provide consultation on complex criminal, narcotics, or fugitive investigations to ensure realistic AI outputs.
- Identify gaps in AI understanding of federal, state, and local law enforcement procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions to maintain training quality.
Requirements
- Strong experience in investigative roles such as Detective, Criminal Investigator, Special Agent, or Crime Scene Investigator.
- Proven experience investigating suspected violations of federal, state, or local laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail in analyzing evidence and documenting investigative findings.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with investigative techniques, legal procedures, and law enforcement protocols.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethical standards.
Conditions
