Graphic Designer / Senior Graphic Designer
Summary
The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) is hiring a Graphic Designer / Senior Graphic Designer to join its Creative Team. The role focuses on developing brand and campaign creative that brings key league moments to life across platforms and supports the growth of a modern sports brand. This position also provides mentorship and feedback to junior and mid-level designers.
What you'll do
- Lead concept development and design execution for brand, marketing, and campaign initiatives at league and team levels.
- Create visual assets across social, digital, email, mobile, web, broadcast, out-of-home, in-venue, and merchandise channels.
- Support storytelling around players, teams, and key league moments through graphic design.
- Establish and maintain brand standards across league and team creative touchpoints.
- Develop scalable design systems to ensure campaign consistency and long-term brand growth.
- Communicate throughout the creative process from drafts to final sign-off and production approvals.
- Track emerging creative trends in sports, culture, and entertainment and bring new ideas to the team.
- Participate in brainstorms and campaign development while maintaining brand integrity.
- Support social and content teams with timely graphics during key moments.
- Provide creative feedback and mentorship to junior and mid-level designers.
Requirements
4+ years of professional design experience (preferably in sports, entertainment, media, or brand marketing).
Strong portfolio of brand-driven campaign work; online portfolio submission required.
Strong knowledge of typography, layout, composition, and design fundamentals across mediums.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools.
Motion design/animation/3D experience is a plus (not required).
Ability to translate brand strategy into compelling visual campaign work.
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, organization, time-management, and attention to detail.

Conditions
May require irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on league events and timelines.
