People Business Partner (100% Remote)
Summary
ClearCaptions is an FCC-certified telephone captioning provider focused on improving communication for seniors and people who are hard-of-hearing. The People Business Partner is a trusted advisor who supports leaders and employees while executing the People strategy and strengthening leadership capability. This remote role partners with business units and People Centers of Excellence to deliver scalable HR programs and a positive employee experience.
What you'll do
Partner with leaders to execute people strategy aligned to business objectives and drive a high-performing, values-aligned, engaged workforce.
Manage employee relations matters including coaching, investigations, conflict resolution, and end-to-end ER case management; escalate critical cases as needed.
Conduct and coordinate objective, thorough, timely investigations; document findings and recommendations.
Facilitate core people programs such as goal setting, performance evaluations, engagement initiatives, and recognition.
Coach leaders on strengths-based development, team effectiveness, and engagement.
Collaborate with People COEs (Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development) to deliver consistent HR solutions.
Interpret and apply policies, labor laws, and employment practices to ensure compliance and fairness.
Track and report people metrics; provide ad hoc reporting and workforce analysis.
Participate in or lead smaller HR projects/pilots; support broader change initiatives.
Embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into practices and interactions.
Manage exit interviews; analyze turnover and retention trends and recommend improvements.
Stay current on HR best practices and employment law updates; contribute to process improvements.
Provide guidance and training to managers on performance standards and evaluations.
Perform other duties as assigned to support People team and business priorities.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
5–7 years of relevant experience in a People Business Partner/HRBP role.
Experience supporting remote workforces in a multi-state environment (required).
Preferred experience supporting contact/service center and/or warehouse employee populations.
Experience building and leading HR programs, projects, and teams.
HRIS proficiency (Dayforce preferred) and strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification preferred.
Experience across ER, performance management, talent development, and compensation practices.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, maintain confidentiality, and use sound judgment in sensitive situations.
Strong coaching, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills; ability to influence change.
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Highly organized self-starter with strong time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Authorization to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship (no sponsorship available).
Conditions
100% remote / work from home; home office environment.
Salary range: $90,000–$100,000 annually (final offer based on market, equity, and qualifications).
Occasional overnight travel up to 10% and flexible hours as needed.
