Community manager

Skylum is an award-winning photo editing software company powered by AI that serves millions of photographers worldwide. We are seeking a Community Manager to launch and scale our ambassador program, drive engagement across existing communities, and create a feedback loop between our community and product teams. This role is central to building a thriving ecosystem that connects our users, product team, and marketing efforts.

• Launch and manage an Ambassador Program: design structure, recruit 10-20 active ambassadors, maintain 60%+ activation rate, and generate user-generated content initiatives
• Increase engagement in existing communities by launching consistent content plans, improving engagement metrics, and introducing 2+ new interaction formats
• Connect external marketing and internal product teams by launching 12+ community-driven product initiatives and establishing feedback collection processes
• Integrate community into email marketing through launching community-focused tracks and executing 12+ email campaigns with performance tracking
• Build a monthly reporting system aggregating community insights, pain points, and feature requests for the product roadmap

• Proven hands-on experience launching, growing, moderating, and scaling online or hybrid communities
• Strong project management skills to lead initiatives end-to-end from ideation to measurable outcomes
• Systems and analytical thinking with ability to make data-informed decisions
• Experience creating timelines, content plans, recurring workflows, and internal processes
• Moderation and operational management capabilities across multiple workstreams
• Strong writing skills and ability to design engagement scenarios and educational content
• Proficiency in analyzing engagement, participation, retention metrics, and community data
• Advanced proficiency in at least two AI tools for marketing, research, or productivity
• Proactive mindset with strong communication, creative thinking, and strategic vision
• Empathy, diplomacy, and ability to build trust and psychological safety
