Senior Manager, Events & Employee Experience

Summary
Playlist builds a platform for intentional living, connecting people and businesses with real-world experiences in fitness, wellness, and beyond. The Senior Manager, Events & Employee Experience leads the strategy and delivery of internal events and employee experiences that strengthen culture, belonging, and collaboration. This role partners closely with executives and leads an events team to execute high-impact in-person and virtual moments globally.
What you'll do
- Lead the strategy, design, and execution of the internal corporate event portfolio, from regional offsites to global company gatherings.
- Manage, coach, and grow the events team by setting goals and metrics, prioritizing work, and ensuring operational excellence.
- Partner with C-suite leaders to translate offsite vision into on-brand experiences and standout moments.
- Own the end-to-end event lifecycle including planning, resourcing, production, vendor management, and on-site or virtual execution.
- Drive financial stewardship for event budgets up to $10M, including budgeting, forecasting, negotiation, and expense tracking.
- Build scalable processes, playbooks, and project management frameworks to improve quality, consistency, and speed across a high-volume global portfolio.
- Define and track event KPIs and use data and AI-driven insights to optimize attendee experience, engagement, and business impact.
- Lead cross-functional planning with internal teams and external partners to deliver inclusive, culturally resonant, on-brand experiences; support employee engagement, DEI-related programming, and hub-based connection strategies across a global workforce.
Requirements
- 10+ years leading corporate internal events, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth technology environment.
- 4+ years of people management experience with a track record of developing teams and scaling programs.
- Experience designing and executing in-person, virtual, and hybrid events for 100 to 1,000+ attendees.
- Strong executive presence and experience partnering directly with C-suite leaders.
- Ability to run multiple complex programs simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Deep experience with event budgeting, forecasting, vendor negotiations, and operational planning, including multi-million dollar budgets.
- Clear, confident communication skills across written plans, executive updates, and event storytelling.
- Data-driven approach to measurement and improvement, including comfort using AI to support planning and insights.
- Experience supporting employee engagement, inclusive programming, and/or culture-building across distributed or global teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Conditions
- Travel: 30–40% of time, including local day trips and multi-night international travel.
- Compensation (US): base salary range $120,000–$150,000 per year; total compensation may include performance bonus, benefits, and/or other incentive plans.
