Program Manager-Clinical Trials

Mount Sinai Morningside is hiring a Clinical Trials Finance Program Manager within the FACTS central administration finance and contract team. This role owns a centralized clinical trials financial program, supporting departments from budget planning and feasibility through reconciliation, collections, and study close-out.

• Lead industry-funded clinical trial finances including start-up, budget planning, billing compliance, collections, reconciliation, and close-out.
• Design and implement scalable financial processes, workflows, and systems across departments and locations; monitor performance and ensure adherence to budgets.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources; initiate research personnel transactions and coordinate with HR/position control for staffing changes.
• Partner with contract specialists, IRB, ancillary research administration, department leadership, research staff, and finance leadership to align trial finances with organizational goals.
• Support trial activation, including account setup, EPIC and OnCore calendar build, and coordinator training for encounter linking and billing compliance.
• Maintain systems to track progress, milestones, and deliverables; develop annual budget forecasts and long-term financial models for portfolio growth.
• Ensure financial practices meet industry standards, sponsor obligations, and internal governance requirements.
• Maintain accurate reporting systems and prepare department-level P/L analysis for FACTS leadership.
• With ORS, develop and implement training for faculty and staff on pre- and post-award clinical research administration.
• Serve as primary point of contact among investigators, research teams, sponsors, and institutional leadership; facilitate stakeholder meetings and status updates.

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of clinical research experience; experience managing investigator-initiated trials preferred.

• Progressive managerial experience in project management, change management, healthcare delivery redesign/integration, and/or health policy reform.

• Clinical research specialty certification preferred.

• Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal collaboration skills; creative problem-solving and ability to foster a high-performance team environment.
