Senior Data + Infrastructure Engineer (Clickhouse, Kafka, dbt)

Venon.io is a small, fast-moving B2B SaaS company in the e-commerce analytics space. We're seeking a Senior Data & Infrastructure Engineer to scale our data pipelines, optimize our analytical engine, and maintain production infrastructure. You'll work closely with our technical team to ensure seamless data flow from ingestion to insight.

• Manage and optimize ClickHouse clusters and Kafka pipelines to handle growing data volumes
• Maintain and evolve Kubernetes environment to ensure high availability and performance
• Build and maintain robust data models using dbt for analytics product support
• Identify bottlenecks in data ingestion and query performance, implementing long-term fixes
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and debugging production infrastructure issues

• 3+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
• Expertise in ClickHouse optimization and analytical queries
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kafka clusters
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes
• Deep understanding of SQL and experience with dbt for data transformation
• Ability to manage time independently and take infrastructure projects from concept to completion
• Bonus: Hetzner Cloud experience, Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible), e-commerce/Shopify/marketing analytics background, Node.js/TypeScript familiarity

Interview Process: 30-minute technical interview followed by 1-hour coding/system design task focused on data architecture
