Summary

Async is a technology-first team building next-generation AI-powered audio and video creation tools with proprietary text-to-speech models ranked among the top on Hugging Face leaderboards. The company specializes in real-time, low-latency voice technology for expressive, controllable, multilingual speech. We seek a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design and deploy optimized models in production environments for Text-to-Speech, Voice Cloning, and Speech Enhancement systems.

What you'll do

  • Build scalable, maintainable software solutions on top of prototyped models
  • Deploy machine learning models into production environments at scale
  • Leverage Flask and FastAPI frameworks to create REST microservices and APIs
  • Optimize the speed and efficiency of existing Text-to-Speech, Voice Cloning, Speech Enhancement, and other systems
  • Monitor, optimize, and maintain ML solutions
  • Improve the speed, stability, and scalability of real-time audio endpoints

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in ML engineering or backend + ML hybrid roles
  • Strong proficiency in Python and clean software engineering practices
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Hands-on experience with FastAPI and REST APIs
  • Experience with message queues: Google Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, Kafka
  • Demonstrated experience deploying machine learning models on cloud platforms
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Desired: WebSocket APIs, ML system optimization, Airflow, quantized model deployment in browsers
