Senior Full Stack Engineer

Summary

Simulmedia is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to strengthen the engineering team and scale the platform with new insights and analytics capabilities. In this role with a 30/70 backend-to-frontend allocation, you will work with product managers, designers, and data engineers to integrate analytics features into the modern, unified technology stack. The focus is on iterating and delivering high-quality, end-to-end owned features.

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement insights and analytics dashboards for the CTV self-service platform, providing users with actionable data to enhance their campaigns
  • Develop both frontend (70%) and backend (30%) services using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, ensuring seamless integration between components
  • Build robust, scalable APIs using tRPC to serve analytics data to the frontend application
  • Create efficient pages using server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG) via Next.js for performance-optimized analytics displays
  • Collaborate with designers to implement responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using Tailwind CSS
  • Optimize the full stack to ensure quick load times, low-latency data fetching, and smooth user experiences for data-heavy visualizations
  • Deploy and manage the platform using Vercel, leveraging serverless functions for backend processes
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure high-quality, maintainable code
  • Implement unit and end-to-end testing for both frontend and backend components to ensure reliability and reduce bugs in production

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience: 6+ years of senior-level experience in full stack development with a strong focus on web applications and data-driven platforms.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript with strong typing and interface design for scalable codebases
  • Deep understanding of React and its ecosystem, including hooks, functional components, and React Server Components (RSC)
  • Proficiency in Tailwind CSS for building responsive, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing UIs
  • Experience building data visualization tools and dashboards using React-based libraries (D3.js, Chart.js)
  • Experience with SSR and SSG using Next.js, optimizing for performance and SEO
  • Proficiency in backend development (Node.js) with tRPC as an API framework
  • Experience designing and developing APIs, handling authentication, authorization, and security best practices
  • Proficiency in building scalable and reliable data-fetching layers for real-time or large-scale analytics
  • Experience with serverless architectures, edge computing, and CDN usage
  • Solid experience with Vercel or other serverless platforms for deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and performance monitoring
  • Experience with unit and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Vitest, Cypress/Playwright, or similar
  • Proficiency in Git, including pull requests, code reviews, and branching strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively

Bonus: Familiarity with CTV platforms, digital advertising, media analytics, SEO, accessibility, and performance optimization for web applications.

Conditions

Location: Ukraine is mandatory. Offices are located in Kyiv and Lviv. Teams primarily work remotely with occasional offline meetings.

Schedule: Ability to work 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EEST and communicate effectively with U.S.-based teams.
