Lead / Senior Java Engineer (SAP Integration)

Talmatic is seeking a Lead or Senior Java Engineer to support Moody's DCI Connectors program. The role focuses on building and integrating systems connected to SAP-based platforms, working on production-grade applications and designing scalable solutions in an enterprise environment.

• Build and maintain applications integrating with SAP systems including S/4HANA, BTP, CAP, and related services
• Design and develop scalable, high-availability systems
• Contribute to architecture and technical decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Follow best practices in coding, testing, and system design
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers (Senior role)
• Deliver features and support ongoing development

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with SAP integrations: SAP S/4HANA, Business Technology Platform (BTP), Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), SAP UI5
• Experience working on production systems
• Solid understanding of system design and architecture
• Experience building scalable and reliable applications

Nice-to-Have: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, AWS, Cloud Foundry, financial or credit systems experience

Engagement: Full-time, 3-month contract with quarterly extensions

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Remote, must be based in EU with ability to overlap with Eastern US time zone (at least 4 hours)
