HR Business Partner - Field

Summary

Cinemark is a global movie theatre company with 500+ theatres and nearly 6,000 screens. The Senior Human Resource Specialist supports Theatre HR Operations and the Senior HR Business Partner by leading HR projects, handling complex employee relations, and driving policy, compliance, and strategic HR initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Lead HR projects and initiatives aligned to organizational goals and strategic objectives.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend resolutions for low and medium severity cases; support HRBP with high severity investigations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex HR issues, providing consultation to leadership and staff.
  • Advise management on HR best practices (e.g., grievance resolution, employee engagement, culture improvement).
  • Evaluate options and use independent judgment to resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Develop, implement, and train staff on HR policies and procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze HR metrics/data to identify trends and recommend improvements to HR leadership.
  • Partner with Learning and HRBP to facilitate leadership training and development programs.
  • Collaborate with senior management on talent acquisition strategies, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Oversee employee engagement initiatives, including surveys and focus groups, and implement action plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize and delegate as appropriate.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to respond with urgency to employee/manager requests.
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn Workday HRIS and case management systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of human resources experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP preferred/plus.
  • Physical: prolonged sitting/working at a computer; lift up to 15 pounds at times; ability to navigate organizational facilities.
