DevOps Engineer (Middle/Senior)

VEN Commerce Ltd is seeking a focused Middle or Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team managing dual infrastructure environments with microservices and modular monolith architectures. The role focuses on ensuring production stability, preparing infrastructure for new systems, maintaining high operational standards, and taking full ownership of security and monitoring ecosystems.

• Infrastructure Management: Provision and configure production and staging environments, manage existing production infrastructure for consistent performance
• Security Ownership: Take full responsibility for security lifecycle, manage security updates, OS patching, system hardening, implement API security measures, oversee security posture and compliance
• Observability & Monitoring: Lead transition and setup of BetterStack monitoring stack, configure alerts and health checks, review monitoring tickets and escalate issues to development teams
• Automation & Efficiency: Identify and eliminate repetitive manual processes through automation (Bash/Python, CloudFormation), maintain and optimize CI/CD for iOS and Android apps, ensure infrastructure changes are documented and cost-efficient
• Inter-team Collaboration: Support development teams with infrastructure needs and deployment workflows, co-work with dev team leads on complex changes, manage backlog priorities

• 4-6+ years of DevOps/SRE experience (Strong Middle/Senior level)
• AWS expertise: VPC, RDS (Postgres), ECS/Beanstalk
• Proficiency with Docker, Git, CloudFormation
• Strong scripting skills in Bash/Python
• Broad understanding of infrastructure security with focus on API security
• Experience with AI tools (GitHub Copilot, LLMs)
• Operational discipline and proactive self-starter mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Upper-Intermediate English & Ukrainian language proficiency
