Graphic Designer
Summary
Malibu Boats, Inc. is hiring a Graphic Designer to produce and adapt on-brand creative assets across its portfolio in support of marketing priorities. Reporting to the Manager, Creative Operations, this role delivers day-to-day design for digital, print, and social channels while ensuring brand standards, correct formatting, and on-time delivery.
What you'll do
- Produce on-brand creative assets for campaigns, web, email, social, PR, and events.
- Adapt master creative into channel-ready variations and dealer-ready formats, including sizing, localization, and specification compliance.
- Perform light photo editing and retouching to support asset needs and rapid-turn updates.
- Partner with stakeholders to refine layouts, hierarchy, and calls to action to meet channel needs.
- Prepare files for print and digital delivery, including specifications, quality checks, and final production QA.
- Optimize assets for performance requirements such as load speed, readability, and platform constraints.
- Organize and maintain final creative assets in a shared asset library with correct naming, metadata, and version control.
- Ensure assets adhere to brand standards, usage guidelines, and legal requirements where applicable.
- Maintain templates and modular creative components to support asset reuse and scalable production.
- Execute work through established intake and workflow processes, meeting timelines and communicating status.
- Coordinate with copy, photo/video, and social publishing partners to deliver complete creative packages.
- Escalate risks, conflicts, or capacity constraints to the Manager, Creative Operations.
- Contribute to toolkits, templates, and production best practices to improve speed, quality, and consistency.
- Identify recurring production issues and propose process or template improvements to reduce rework.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Experience: Demonstrated experience producing assets across digital, print, and social channels.
Workflow: Experience working within a creative production workflow with deadlines, specifications, and QA requirements.
Design skills: Strong visual design fundamentals, typography, layout, and brand consistency.
Detail orientation: High attention to detail with disciplined file organization and version control.
Execution: Ability to manage multiple projects and handle rapid-turn updates without sacrificing quality.
Collaboration: Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback efficiently; effective cross-functional communication.
Reliability: Meets deadlines, follows through on commitments, maintains confidentiality, and adheres to attendance expectations.
Physical demands: Office-based role; typically sits ~7 hours and stands ~1 hour; may lift/carry up to 20 lbs; occasional repetitive hand activities (grasping, pushing/pulling, fine manipulation).
