Senior People Business Partner, Care Teams

Summary

Brightline is a pediatric, teen, and parental mental health therapy and psychiatry practice delivering virtual and in-person outpatient care. The Senior People Business Partner, Care Teams partners with Care leadership at the intersection of people strategy and business performance to strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and talent outcomes that enable exceptional care delivery.

What you'll do

  • Translate Care leadership priorities and clinical operational challenges (e.g., staffing, care model evolution) into actionable people strategies and plans.
  • Anticipate workforce challenges and develop proactive approaches that support growth, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Support organizational design work across structures, roles, and spans/layers; recommend and implement effective operating solutions.
  • Assess organizational capabilities and implement interventions to improve clarity, efficiency, collaboration, and alignment of talent/resources to business needs.
  • Develop and refine People policies and programs tailored to care team operations, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Coach and advise clinical leaders and managers on leading high-performing teams through growth and change.
  • Partner with managers/directors on leadership effectiveness, talent development, and succession planning; escalate complex executive-level matters when needed.
  • Provide data-informed recommendations on people matters and adapt communication to influence outcomes.
  • Support and execute change plans for growth, new service lines, or shifts in care delivery models; ensure smooth adoption aligned with culture and values.
  • Partner with Clinical Recruiting on hiring strategy to meet growth targets, quality of hire, and workforce readiness.
  • Use people and business data to connect workforce insights to clinical and operational metrics; deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Own people outcomes for the Care organization (retention, engagement, workforce readiness) and partner with Finance, Legal, and Clinical Operations to drive results through influence.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience in high-growth, matrixed, or dynamic environments.
  • At least 3 years supporting clinical, healthcare, or field operations teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an HR-related field and/or HR certification preferred.
  • Experience in organizational design, change management, and coaching managers/directors through complex people challenges.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and employee relations best practices with a balanced, business-oriented mindset.
  • Experience partnering with operations leaders in high-growth, matrixed environments (healthcare, tech, or SaaS preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose workforce trends, connect people data to business outcomes, and design measurable interventions.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and influence skills across functions and levels.
  • Ability to operate with ambiguity, drive clarity, and lead through change; capable of zooming between strategy and details.
  • Willingness to travel to New York and California based on Care Team needs.

Conditions

  • Geo-based compensation; annual base salary range stated as $120,000–$150,000 plus equity (stock options).
