ARTS & CULTURE ASSISTANT - PRODUCTION
Summary
The City of Surprise is hiring an Arts & Culture Assistant - Production to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of arts and culture programs, events, and public art initiatives. The role serves as a public-facing point of contact and provides on-site support to ensure successful community-based programming.
What you'll do
- Support planning, coordination, and implementation of City arts and culture programs, events, and/or public art initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for artists, vendors, patrons, and community members.
- Coordinate with partners in preparation for programs and events.
- Provide visible, on-site support during events, exhibitions, and public programs.
- Assist with public art projects, patron services, production, and related arts and cultural activities as assigned.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Six (6) months of experience in arts and culture, community engagement, customer service, event support, or a related field.
Additional education may not be substituted for experience.
Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License at time of hire.
Conditions
Selection process may include a panel interview for applicants whose background best meets position needs.
