HR Assistant - Remote
Summary
Aston Carter (promoted via Lensa) is hiring an HR Assistant to support the My HR Live Support team by delivering Leave of Absence, Disability, and related HR services for employees and candidates globally. The role focuses on providing accurate, timely resolutions across phone, chat, and email to ensure a world-class employee experience.
What you'll do
Own employee contacts from acceptance through resolution with strong problem-solving and customer focus.
Serve as first point of contact via phone, chat, and email for Leave, Disability, and related inquiries, including case intake and general policy questions.
Use FAQs, standard operating procedures, and other documentation to resolve inquiries; escalate issues when needed.
Build trust through empathetic, personalized conversations and adjust case management plans as employee needs change.
Respond to employee-impacting issues during leave events, ensuring appropriate communication and documentation.
Apply judgment and critical thinking to balance process adherence with employee needs; analyze and decide on disability, leave, and accommodation requests.
Consult and collaborate with partner teams to resolve cross-functional issues and support policy updates.
Requirements
Experience in human resources, customer service, or a call center environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
Experience using phone and chat platforms.
Strong communication skills with demonstrated empathy.
Research skills to locate accurate answers and information.
Ability to adapt to changing workloads and manage high-volume contacts in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information and follow strict data privacy policies.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and multi-priority management skills.
Conditions
Contract role.
Fully remote; must have a dedicated workspace at home.
Expected to be on camera during training and nesting periods.
Pay: $21/hour.
