Luxoft seeks a Fortran Developer with strong mathematical background to develop and support enterprise information systems for a major energy industry provider in the Oil & Gas domain. The role focuses on building and tuning numerical optimization workflows to improve system performance.
What you'll do
- Build and tune numerical optimization workflows (e.g., Bayesian optimization) to improve model/system performance
- Develop and maintain scientific/HPC code in Fortran
- Work independently on research, problem solving, and delivery with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with international teams (US/China)
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Strong mathematical education and proven professional experience applying it in practice
- Solid knowledge of Fortran
- Hands-on experience with numerical optimization for models/systems, such as Bayesian optimization (critical requirement)
- Ability to work independently for extended periods with minimal supervision
Nice-to-Have:
- PhD is a strong plus
- Prior experience in oil & gas domain
