Fortran Developer with background in Math

Luxoft seeks a Fortran Developer with strong mathematical background to develop and support enterprise information systems for a major energy industry provider in the Oil & Gas domain. The role focuses on building and tuning numerical optimization workflows to improve system performance.

• Build and tune numerical optimization workflows (e.g., Bayesian optimization) to improve model/system performance
• Develop and maintain scientific/HPC code in Fortran
• Work independently on research, problem solving, and delivery with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with international teams (US/China)

Mandatory:

• Strong mathematical education and proven professional experience applying it in practice
• Solid knowledge of Fortran
• Hands-on experience with numerical optimization for models/systems, such as Bayesian optimization (critical requirement)
• Ability to work independently for extended periods with minimal supervision

Nice-to-Have:

• PhD is a strong plus
• Prior experience in oil & gas domain
