UX/UI Designer

Summary

Robots & Pencils is seeking a UX/UI Designer to create thoughtful, high-quality digital experiences across varied client engagements. The role focuses on end-to-end product design work, partnering with client product teams and the internal Experience team to turn complex problems into intuitive solutions. You will also help evolve the design practice by contributing to internal initiatives and experimenting with AI-powered workflows.

What you'll do

  • Design end-to-end UX and UI deliverables from early exploration and concepting through high-fidelity execution.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and polished interface designs that balance usability, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Build, evolve, and maintain design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and flexibility across products.
  • Use Figma for design, prototyping, documentation, and collaboration.
  • Partner with client product teams to understand problems, shape solutions, and deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Experience team designers to share feedback, ideas, and best practices.
  • Work with engineers, strategists, and delivery leads to bring designs to life efficiently.
  • Participate in agile workflows and manage multiple projects across clients and industries while maintaining high craft standards.
  • Experiment with AI-powered tools and workflows to improve efficiency, creativity, and design quality.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives such as marketing, pitches, and business development.
  • Support the evolution of the company’s design practice through experimentation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer on digital products or platforms.
  • Strong hands-on design skills with deep proficiency in Figma.
  • Experience working directly with clients or cross-functional product teams.
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems in real-world product environments.
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort giving and receiving design feedback.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for experimenting with AI tools and emerging technologies in design workflows.
  • Ability to adapt design approaches across industries, users, and problem spaces.
  • Commitment to learning, improving, and trying new ways of working.

Nice to have:

  • Comfort participating in workshops, critiques, or collaborative design sessions.
  • Exposure to motion design, advanced prototyping tools, or front-end concepts.
  • Experience with AI-assisted design, automation, or generative tools.
  • Familiarity working across a range of client verticals.
