Assistant Manager Communications, Basketball

Summary

adidas is hiring an Assistant Manager, Communications (Basketball) to help develop and execute integrated adidas Basketball marketing campaigns across athletes, partners, moments, and product initiatives. The role supports strategy, coordination, and execution across touchpoints while ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and informed by performance insights.

What you'll do

  • Support development of integrated marketing and communications plans aligned to business unit objectives.
  • Contribute to short- and long-term communications strategy, including channel strategies based on consumer and marketing objectives.
  • Manage timelines, workflows, and cross-functional communications to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Maintain status reports, action items, and deliverables to drive executional excellence.
  • Support campaign performance evaluation through post-mortems, KPI analysis, and coordination of research; consolidate insights and best practices into reports.
  • Track and reconcile estimates, invoices, and project spend to support budget management.
  • Create and maintain presentation materials for internal and external updates.
  • Build and maintain an archive of campaign creative tools and assets.
  • Monitor consumer trends and represent the consumer voice throughout campaign development.
  • Own go-to-market promo and sample ordering for campaigns, moments, and shoots, including seasonal process management and end-of-season liquidation.
  • Support touchpoints initiatives via product seeding strategies tied to key launches.
  • Own the Brand Comms global calendar (Campaign Portal) and manage Retail Intro Date (RID) communications to local markets.
  • Provide in-real-life (IRL) activation support for priority projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Passion for sports and familiarity with U.S. basketball culture.
  • Understanding of consumer behavior, brand building, and integrated campaign planning.
  • Strong project management skills, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of marketing, communications, or related experience.
  • Digital and/or communications experience preferred.

Conditions

  • Hybrid schedule: in-office Monday through Thursday, remote on Fridays (Friday in-office may be required for collaboration or presentations).
