The Chain Manager (Manager, Off-Premise Chains) grows TBS business within assigned retail chain accounts by expanding distribution, strengthening relationships, and maximizing program execution across the portfolio.
What you'll do
- Own and execute growth strategy for assigned off-premise chain accounts, delivering against KPIs, revenue targets, forecasts, and sales goals.
- Pursue new points of distribution and secure programming features during new item cycles, seasonal periods, and pre-sell windows.
- Develop, deploy, and track national/regional program execution with Market Managers and other counterparts.
- Review program effectiveness and provide post-program recommendations to improve retailer and brand outcomes.
- Manage and effectively allocate the assigned trade budget.
- Create recommended pricing with Market Managers; audit current pricing strategies and recommend enhancements.
- Communicate chain account priorities to internal teams (Market Managers, Marketing, Operations) and key stakeholders.
- Conduct market audits for pricing accuracy, program execution, and competitive landscape; report findings and actions.
- Create and deliver fact-based sales presentations to customers and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Manage buying relationships to become a preferred supplier partner for assigned accounts.
- Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders on programs, sales plans, and promotion calendars based on category/customer/consumer insights.
- Maintain strong relationships with distributor chain sales teams and collaborate on promotional strategies with National Chain Directors and Marketing.
- Maintain visibility in retail trade and relationships with regional, divisional, and store-level management.
- Lead key National Accounts meetings and business reviews.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of beverage alcohol sales experience with comparable goals and responsibilities, including regional-level experience with chain retailers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Understanding of on- and off-premise retailer environments and the three-tier system.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and influence with distributors and key accounts.
- Ability to deliver persuasive, fact-based brand presentations during key selling periods (new item cycles, seasonal, pre-sell) across wine/beer/spirits.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and brands across a diverse portfolio.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills to identify patterns, issues, and opportunities within off-premise accounts.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Conditions
- Compensation: Competitive salary; stated range $90,000–$110,000 annually (starting pay based on factors including experience, training, education, and geographic location).
