Curriculum Specialist (K-12 Math) - Part-time (Mountain West)

Summary

Savvas Learning Company, a global education company serving millions of K-12 learners, is hiring a part-time Curriculum Specialist to support and grow its K-12 Math curriculum across the Mountain West territory. This role blends education expertise with sales-cycle support to drive revenue targets through presentations, pilots, and successful program activation.

What you'll do

  • Deliver sales-cycle presentations and support across key customer touchpoints (exhibits/conferences, workshops, meetings/campaigns, pilots, sales presentations, program activation).
  • Provide pilot activation trainings and ongoing communication/support for pilot teachers throughout the pilot process.
  • Deliver program activation trainings for new and existing customer accounts.
  • Maintain deep expertise in Savvas print, digital, and blended learning solutions and complete required certification processes.
  • Provide customer feedback to sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships during the sales cycle and after activation; route issues to appropriate internal teams to ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Collaborate with sales, services, and operations to escalate and address customer satisfaction issues and ensure customer success.
  • Monitor and control timekeeping and expenses in alignment with Travel and Entertainment policies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of K-12 education experience, including classroom teaching.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required; Master’s preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of education theory, pedagogy, standards, and market trends in K-12 Math.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective presentations to large and small groups.
  • Experience with public speaking and creating engaging presentations for teachers, parents, district administrators, superintendents, and/or adoption committees.
  • Strong technology skills with presentation software/hardware (PC or Mac), including whiteboard technology and 1:1 devices, to develop and deliver multimedia presentations.
  • Prior experience selling/servicing in the education market is desirable.
  • Biliterate English/Spanish preferred.
  • Specialty training or advanced certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel regionally, sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage self-directed training and preparedness.
  • Ability to discuss and advise districts on K-12 Math and understand sales campaign strategy and services continuum.

Conditions

  • Type: Part-time.

  • Territory: Mountain West (includes AK, AZ, CO, ID, KS, MT, ND, NE, NV, UT, SD, OR, WA, WY) with regional travel.

  • Preferred locations: Denver, Phoenix, or Seattle.

  • Pay: Hiring range $37–$40/hour; compensable time includes program/pilot activation, internal training at $30/hour, and travel & administrative at $20/hour.
