Summary

The Director, Creative Operations will build and lead the operational engine behind LinkedIn’s in-house creative studio, owning end-to-end workflows to scale high-quality creative across members and customers. The role is operations-first, partnering with marketing and creative leaders to improve visibility, collaboration, accountability, and efficiency through systems and AI-enabled automation.
What you'll do
- Own operational systems, workflows, and resourcing models enabling creative production across formats and channels.
- Operate and evolve a hybrid studio model across in-house teams, contractors, and agencies to scale output while maintaining consistency and integrity.
- Translate creative priorities into clear plans, realistic timelines, and on-brief, on-time execution with creative and marketing leadership.
- Design and run end-to-end creative intake, prioritization, and capacity planning processes.
- Maintain visibility into workstreams; identify risks, remove blockers, and drive consistent communication.
- Partner on creative content management systems and asset repositories to ensure access, compliance, reuse, and brand consistency.
- Implement workflow management tools to improve process efficiency and transparency.
- Define and evolve operating rhythms, SLAs, tooling, and key operational metrics for continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted operational partner to senior marketing leaders to align creative ambition with operational reality.
- Foster accountability, transparency, learning, and scalable best practices across cross-functional partners.
- Identify, test, and implement AI-powered tools for tracking, intake, tagging, version control, and reporting.
- Create AI-assisted templates and processes to reduce manual effort and improve speed, scale, and predictability without sacrificing quality.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Creative Operations, Studio Operations, Marketing Operations, or related operational leadership roles supporting creative/marketing organizations.
- 5+ years of experience leading creative operations programs or teams across complex, matrixed organizations.
- 5+ years of experience managing creative project workflows including intake, prioritization, and capacity planning across multiple stakeholders or business units.
- Deep understanding of creative development and production workflows across multiple formats and channels (preferred).
- Experience operating hybrid production models with in-house teams, agencies, and contractors (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to implement workflow/project tracking/operational tooling to improve visibility and collaboration (preferred).
- Experience introducing automation or AI-driven solutions to improve workflows, production efficiency, or asset management (preferred).
- Strong operational judgment balancing structure, rigor, and flexibility in fast-moving environments.
- Proven ability to influence senior marketing/brand/creative leaders and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to drive alignment.
Conditions
- Hybrid work model; performed from home and a LinkedIn office on select days based on business needs.
- Role based in San Francisco Bay Area or New York.
