Virtual Inbound Sales Representative (Chat)

hackajob is partnering with Comcast to hire a Virtual Inbound Sales Representative (Chat) to promote and sell current and emerging products and services. The role focuses on consultative customer engagement via inbound chat, turning support interactions into sales while delivering a high-quality customer experience.

• Engage new and existing customers via inbound chat using consultative sales techniques to identify needs and recommend tailored solutions.
• Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics; apply feedback to improve results.
• Provide customer support by answering inquiries and converting support interactions into sales opportunities.
• Educate customers on products, services, and available options using provided tools and resources.
• Follow established sales processes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
• Maintain professional, respectful communication and make decisions that balance customer satisfaction with business goals.
• Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Navigate multiple systems, accurately input and update customer information, and use standard office equipment.
• Maintain reliable attendance and work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Occasionally conduct outbound follow-up calls to resolve issues or complete transactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.

• Education: High School Diploma / GED.

• Experience: 0–2 years of relevant work experience.

• Sales skills: Consultative selling, persuasion, objection handling, customer-focused approach.

• Communication: Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.

• Problem solving: Critical thinking and ability to resolve customer issues.

• Technical: Comfortable navigating multiple systems and performing accurate data entry; general technical knowledge.

• Work arrangement: 100% remote (work-from-home).

• Hours of operation: Sunday–Saturday, 6:00am to Midnight EST.
