Public Relations Coordinator
Summary
Rover is a pet care marketplace connecting dog and cat parents with trusted pet sitters and dog walkers across the US, Canada, and Europe. The Public Relations Coordinator supports the Global Communications team by coordinating consumer PR campaigns, media relations, and coverage monitoring to help maintain and strengthen Rover’s brand reputation.
What you'll do
Support ideation, execution, and coordination of consumer PR campaigns.
Oversee day-to-day “always-on” consumer PR activities (e.g., panelists, blog pitching, trendjacking).
Monitor the PR inbox, triage inbound media inquiries, and partner with analytics to pull supporting data.
Own coverage monitoring and tracking; compile weekly company-wide coverage reports.
Maintain press room updates and coordinate reporting for internal business reviews.
Provide administrative support including PR calendar management and occasional agency coordination.
Support ad hoc influencer activity management in European markets.
Draft, review, and edit PR materials such as press releases, blog posts, and campaign copy.
Source and manage case studies and testimonials from pet parents, sitters, and walkers; build best practices and maintain an ongoing case study pool.
Requirements
2–3 years of experience supporting public relations and communications programs for consumer brands (agency or in-house).
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with superior attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
Understanding of appropriate PR conduct with written and broadcast media.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgment calls with manager support.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Customer-centric mindset.
Bonus:
Proficiency with media monitoring tools (e.g., Cision).
Experience supporting international teams/markets.
WordPress proficiency.
Familiarity with influencer marketing and social media.
