Social Media Strategist, Digital Communications
Summary
Solomon Page is a specialty staffing and executive search firm supporting clients across multiple industries and functions. They are seeking a Social Media Strategist, Digital Communications to develop and execute social media strategies that strengthen brand messaging, increase engagement, and drive web traffic. This role sits on the Communications team and reports to the Director of Digital Communications.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement integrated social media strategies, campaigns, and content calendars aligned with organizational goals
- Create, curate, and publish engaging content (text, images, video) across platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging channels
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, development, events, policy, and program teams to produce timely and evergreen content
- Write short-form copy tailored to platform, audience, and campaign objectives while maintaining brand voice and consistency
- Own and manage the social media editorial calendar to align with key initiatives and organizational priorities
- Administer social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social) including scheduling, inbox management, and workflow optimization
- Monitor and analyze social media performance and website traffic using Google Analytics and platform insights
- Generate performance reports and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize engagement and reach
- Stay current on social media trends, tools, and best practices to improve strategy and execution
Requirements
4+ years of experience in social media strategy and digital communications (corporate, agency, nonprofit, or media)
Strong project management skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Excellent writing and editing skills; ability to distill complex concepts into clear, engaging content
Experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions
Proficiency with social media analytics tools and platforms, including Sprout Social and Google Analytics
Experience managing social media platforms and content publishing workflows
Graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to source and present research in visually engaging formats for diverse audiences
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
Conditions
Rate: $50/hr (converted to an estimated monthly equivalent)
Location: Hybrid in NYC
