TikTok Shop - Category Lead

TikTok is building its US TikTok Shop commerce business to make the platform a leading destination for discovery-led shopping. The Category Lead/Category Manager will scale a portfolio of enterprise partners and drive topline revenue growth by leading a category team and shaping category strategy.

• Lead and manage a category team to acquire brand principals, distributors, and merchants to grow the category at scale.
• Develop overall category strategy by defining goals, identifying opportunities, and designing the approach to deliver business growth.
• Create and test innovative collaboration models aligned with merchants’ short-term and long-term development plans, allocating platform resources effectively.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams to solve key challenges impacting business growth.
• Use a consultative approach to provide strategic content, creator/affiliate/agency partner, merchandising, and logistical solutions to clients.
• Keep active clients informed about TikTok Shop product updates and new promotional opportunities.
• Represent TikTok Shop at industry events and brand summits, building long-term partnerships to scale the category.

• Experience in e-commerce; mixed experience across platform and brand/merchant sides preferred.
• People management experience, including managing a significant team size.
• Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales goals; P&L ownership and planning is a plus.
• Strong sales and business development skills with understanding of B2B and B2C funnel structures.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing high-performing teams.
• Preferred: experience in content-based e-commerce.
• Preferred: strong connections/network with brands, distributors, and/or retailers.
• Preferred: strong creative problem-solving ability.

• Compensation: base salary range $112,000–$201,400 annually (varies by city, qualifications, and experience); eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
