Curriculum Specialist (K-12 Math) - Part-time (Mountain West)
Summary
Savvas Learning Company is a global education company creating K-12 instructional and assessment solutions for educators and students. The part-time Curriculum Specialist (K-12 Math) supports the Mountain West territory by delivering product presentations and trainings while helping drive regional revenue goals. The role partners with internal sales, product, and marketing teams to support pilots, activations, and customer success.
What you'll do
Deliver sales-cycle presentations across key customer touchpoints (exhibits/conferences, workshops, meetings/campaigns, pilots, sales presentations, and program activation).
Provide pilot activation trainings and ongoing communication/support for pilot teachers throughout the pilot process.
Deliver program activation trainings for new and ongoing customer accounts.
Maintain deep expertise in Savvas print, digital, and blended solutions through certification and ongoing learning.
Collect and share customer feedback with sales, product, and marketing teams.
Build and maintain positive customer relationships during the sales cycle and after activation; route issues to appropriate internal teams to ensure satisfaction.
Provide excellent customer service and support to educators and district stakeholders.
Collaborate with sales, services, and operations to address and escalate customer satisfaction issues.
Manage timekeeping and expenses in accordance with travel and entertainment policies.
Requirements
5+ years of K-12 education experience, including classroom teaching.
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA); Master’s degree preferred.
Expert knowledge of K-12 math education theory, standards, pedagogy, and market trends.
Demonstrated ability to deliver winning presentations to large and small groups.
Experience with public speaking and creating engaging presentations for teachers, parents, administrators, superintendents, and adoption committees.
Strong technology skills using presentation software/hardware (PC or Mac), whiteboard technology, and 1:1 devices to deliver multimedia presentations.
Prior experience selling/servicing in the education market is desirable.
Biliterate English/Spanish preferred.
Specialty training or advanced certification preferred.
Ability to travel regionally, sometimes on short notice.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Self-starter with ability to manage self-directed training and preparedness.
Ability to discuss K-12 math needs with school districts and understand sales campaign strategy and Savvas services continuum.
Conditions
Part-time role supporting the Mountain West territory (including AK, AZ, CO, ID, KS, MT, ND, NE, NV, UT, SD, OR, WA, WY).
Ideal locations: Denver, Phoenix, or Seattle.
Regional travel required; may be requested with short notice.
Compensation: hiring range $37–$40/hour; compensable time includes program and pilot activation, internal training ($30/hour), and travel/administrative work ($20/hour).
Eligible for sick time and participation in a 401(k) program with company match.
