The Senior Manager, Brand Growth & Innovation leads the growth initiatives pipeline across partnerships, sponsorships, innovation, and special projects to accelerate brand expansion. This role shapes consumer marketing strategy and brings new products, packaging, and go-to-market innovations to launch through cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll do
- Lead the 5-year brand planning process, including calendar development, cross-functional alignment, and execution of integrated marketing plans.
- Develop and maintain brand positioning and unique selling propositions (USPs) across campaigns, packaging, and consumer touchpoints.
- Provide strategic and creative direction to the internal creative agency and external partners to deliver insight-led marketing programs.
- Identify and drive innovation opportunities across product, packaging, formats, and consumer occasions.
- Lead new product development from concept through commercialization, ensuring on-time launches and strong market positioning.
- Explore adjacent categories and new consumption occasions to extend brand relevance and drive incremental revenue.
- Partner with Consumer Insights, R&D, and Sales to translate trends and consumer needs into actionable innovation pipelines.
- Support test-and-learn pilots, limited launches, and new go-to-market models.
- Collaborate with Retail Sales, On-Premise, eCommerce, and Trade Marketing on customer-specific innovation and growth initiatives.
- Support market-specific launches and commercialization strategies with key customers on assortment and presentation.
- Use category data, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities and inform strategy.
- Monitor business performance including distribution, share, promotional effectiveness, and category trends.
- Build business cases and strategic recommendations tied to innovation, partnerships, and brand investment priorities.
- Establish KPIs and track performance across brand equity, trial, incrementality, and revenue impact.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Logistics, and Product Development to deliver initiatives at scale.
- Manage agency/vendor relationships and oversee marketing budgets.
- Foster collaboration, creativity, continuous improvement, and team development.
Requirements
- 7+ years of brand management, innovation, or growth marketing experience within CPG (preferred: food & beverage or premium consumer brands).
- Proven track record leading new product launches and commercialization initiatives.
- Strong innovation mindset with experience identifying and scaling new growth platforms.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking with a data-driven decision-making approach.
- Experience developing creative briefs and guiding integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management and building business cases.
- Demonstrated people leadership: coaching and developing team members and building a high-performance culture.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset; ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and drive results.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
Conditions
- Location: West Los Angeles office; hybrid schedule with in-office Monday–Wednesday and remote option Thursday–Friday.
- Compensation: $150,000–$160,000 annual base pay range plus potential discretionary bonus (final pay depends on skills and experience).
