Social Media Associate
Summary
The New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans are seeking a Social Media Associate as part of their 10-month Associate Program, supporting both NFL and NBA seasons. This intern-level, full-time paid role helps run and grow the teams’ social channels through daily content creation, live event coverage, and analytics-driven strategy. The position contributes to fan engagement while supporting partner content execution and channel best practices.
What you'll do
Assist in managing official social media accounts across Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and Weibo.
Support idea generation, content development, planning, and scheduling for all social platforms.
Ideate, shoot, and edit daily videos for TikTok and Snapchat.
Provide social coverage on gamedays and other live events.
Evaluate and interpret performance analytics to inform follower growth and engagement strategies.
Coordinate with Corporate Partnerships to execute partner-affiliated posts and promotions.
Monitor best practices and trends in organic and branded social media.
Identify and implement improvements to channel workflows and content output.
Requirements
Recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop); graphic design experience required.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, internet tools, and Outlook.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with strong visual judgment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including under deadline pressure.
Adaptable; able to take on additional tasks as assigned.
Knowledge of the New Orleans market, NBA, and NFL preferred.
Ability to lift and stack boxes in excess of 40 lbs.

Must live in or be willing to relocate to New Orleans or surrounding areas.
Conditions
Full-time, hourly, non-exempt; paid 10-month Associate Program role.
Program dates: June 4, 2026 through April 16, 2027.
Work location: Metairie, LA (New Orleans area).
Schedule requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays based on NBA/NFL schedules.
