Key Account Manager, Canada Accounts

The Key Account Manager, Canada Accounts drives sales and product mix goals by expanding distribution, merchandising support, and trade execution across major Canadian retail partners.
What you'll do
Develop and execute business plans and sales strategies for Canadian key accounts in partnership with the Sales Director and Team Lead.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-volume customers and stakeholders (Category Manager through VP/Operations) to deliver growth objectives.
Plan, lead, and implement trade promotions within approved limits and evaluate program effectiveness across trade and omni-channel initiatives.
Analyze market potential, issues, and opportunities; create action plans to achieve targeted business outcomes.
Forecast monthly sales for existing and new products, including promotional activity.
Coordinate cross-functionally with Customer Service and Marketing to align plans, communicate key information, and resolve issues.
Manage Market Development Funds to stay within allocation while achieving or exceeding sales goals.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations, including KPI definition and measurement approaches (e.g., revenue, profit, units/volume, velocity, door count, placement density/depth).
Support team capability-building through data tools, mentorship, and training to improve data literacy.
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience: 5+ years of related experience; experience managing Canadian key accounts preferred (e.g., Metro, Sobey’s, Loblaw’s, Walmart Canada, Costco Canada).
Data & Analytics: Strong knowledge of Nielsen/IRI and ability to mine data for consumer/customer insights; proficiency in data exploration, ETL processes, and visualization.
Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
Business Skills: Ability to deliver actionable insights, define KPIs, and support sales/customer interactions with recommendations.
Enablement: Ability to build/leverage data tools and mentor/train diverse learners to raise organizational data literacy.
Systems: Ability to identify and leverage data systems used by operating companies and support business integration (systems/applications).
Travel: Ability to travel up to 60%.

Conditions
Compensation: Salary range $85,000–$115,000 annually (converted to approximately $8,333/month at the midpoint).
Travel: Up to 60% travel required.
