Sales & Education Advisor - Austin (Freelance)

ILIA Beauty is a clean, skin-centric makeup brand. The Sales & Education Advisor (Freelance) in Austin supports in-store presence by driving sales, delivering training and education, and elevating the client experience across retail doors in the territory.

• Drive and exceed sales goals through store visits, events, and relationship building.
• Coordinate store visit schedules with the manager and execute corporate initiatives.
• Create and activate a monthly store visit calendar focused on priority doors.
• Educate store teams on hero products to improve recommendations and increase retail sales.
• Train retail associates, inter-sell associates, and freelancers on products and selling skills.
• Develop brand advocates by coaching key selling and service behaviors that build loyalty.
• Track and monitor event sales impact and propose innovative ways to improve results.
• Recap store successes, opportunities, and action plans after visits.
• Provide detailed weekly business recaps including callouts and celebrations.
• Communicate regularly with the manager via status calls and provide updates as directed.
• Collaborate with store leadership on brand opportunities.
• Escalate stock concerns to the manager and retailer partners as needed.
• Partner with store and field leadership to support new store openings.

• Reliable form of transportation.
• 2+ years of beauty industry experience as a professional make-up artist or brand ambassador.
• Currently live in the Austin, TX metropolitan territory.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Exceptional time management and communication skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for 6–8 hours.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

• Preferred:

  • 1+ year of Sephora training and selling experience with established relationships.
  • Passion for the clean beauty category.

• Freelance role reporting to the Sales, Artistry & Education Account Executive (South).
• Location requirement: Austin, TX metropolitan area (field-based store visits).
• Flexible schedule may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Compensation: base rate $25–28/hour (offered rate depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location).
• Quarterly ILIA product stipend to replenish and try products.
